The Celebrations

The Ceremony. At 2:30 on Saturday, December 7th, at Saint Francis Solano Church in downtown Sonoma, on the corner of West Third Street and Broadway.

The Reception. At Ramekins Culinary School in Sonoma, right after the ceremony. There is plenty of parking, or on a nice day it is an easy walk of a couple of blocks from the church.

The Rehearsal Dinner. At a cute little Mexican restaurant in downtown Sonoma, right after the rehearsal at around 7:30.

The Bachelor Party. Vegas, baby!

The Bachelorette Party. A nice quiet evening of manicures and facials. No partying allowed (Zoe says there will be partying, and lots of it).

Things To Do

Wine tours. Four-, six- and eight-hour tours of the Sonoma and Napa Valley wine country were available through local tour companies, and guests could join a group or organize their own.

Cooking classes. Ramekins held classes on Thursday and Friday, December 5th and 6th, a chance to learn from some of the best chefs in the country.

Sonoma is one of the most beautiful places in the world, even in dreary December, and for many guests it was a first visit to wine country.

Where Guests Stayed

Ramekins Bed & Breakfast. Above the culinary school where the reception was held, about $150 a night with an elegant breakfast. The lucky guests staying here only had to go upstairs after the party.

The Swiss Hotel. A charming little inn with five rooms and a veranda overlooking historic downtown Sonoma, with shops, restaurants and spas steps away.

Quality Inn, Petaluma. A more affordable option about 25 minutes from Sonoma.

Getting There

From Sacramento. Take 80 West to Highway 12 West (Sonoma, Napa) and follow the signs to Napa Road, then turn right at the stoplight onto Highway 12 (Broadway) and left onto East Napa (Town Square). The church is at the corner of Broadway and West Third Street, and you can park anywhere on the street.

From Santa Rosa. Take Highway 12 all the way into downtown Sonoma. Turn left on West Spain, pass Ramekins on your left, and turn right onto West Third.

After the ceremony. Follow West Third to West Spain and turn left. Ramekins will be on your right, about three blocks away.
